# My avatar is not updating1. Ensure you updated your avatar from the right place2. Send a message3. Previous messages won't be affected

If your avatar is not updating, you will find simple tricks here to solve this issue  
  
Avatars needs to be updated from [https://app.crisp.chat/settings/account/](https://app.crisp.chat/settings/account/)  
  
  
  
Ensure you updated your avatar from [https://app.crisp.chat/settings/account/](https://app.crisp.chat/settings/account/) and not [https://app.crisp.chat/settings/websites/](https://app.crisp.chat/settings/websites/) . Updating the website icon is a different thing  
  
  
  
To prevent useless operations, Crisp is updating the avatar only when you leave a message to a visitor. Just send a message to someone to update the cache.  
  
  
  
Crisp won't update message already sent. New messages will display your new avatar  
  
Tip: You can also use your browser incognito mode, to display Crisp like a new visitor
